Great magazine in which we advertise. They also sponsor the Maine Boats, Homes, and
Harbors Show in August in Rockland, ME. We are always exhibitors at this show.
The Catboat Association
We love this traditional type of craft and this great organization is the place to
go for all things Catboat.
The
Maine Boatbuilders Show
The premier venue for lovers of custom traditionally designed boats.
WoodenBoat Publications
This excellent magazine always has inspiring boats and boat people.
Outward Bound
This outstanding educational institution provides opportunities for people, young
and old, to have exciting, safe, transformative, and fun adventures in various wilderness
settings. Our favorite is the Sea Program at the Hurricane
Island Outward Bound School in Rockland, Maine for which our owner (Doug Goldhirsch)
worked form many years.
Sea Education Association
(SEA)
This organization's prime offering, Sea Semester, is a semester-long program for undergraduates.
It is highly regarded, and most colleges and universities recognize the rigorous nature
of the SEA experience and award full credit. In this 12 week program, students spend
6 weeks aboard a large sailing research vessel learning oceanography, maritime history
and literature, and the science of navigation.
