Maine BoatBuilders Organization:
This organization was formed to promote boat building in general in
Maine. We are featured on their site.

Maine Marine Trades Association:
This is our trade organization. They have been very effective at lobbying
for boat building interests (as well as boatyard and marina interests) over
the years. Maine’s outstanding Clean Marinas program is driven by this organization.

The Ocean Classroom Foundation:

This organization also provides sail training experiences on large ships
to young people. The focus here is on working with high school students.
This organization is located right here in Boothbay.
 
Outward Bound, USA :  Experiental Education at it's best.  And
Southport Island Marine built their new fleet of boats!
 
Sea Education Association (SEA) :  Southport Island Marine owner,
Doug Goldhirsch,  was a student with this ground breaking sail training
organization and remains involved in the organization's governance.
Simply the best and safest sail training organization in the world.
Primarilly for College age students.
 
Ocean Classroom Foundation :  This well regarded sail training
organization is based in our hometown, Boothbay Harbor, ME. 
This is a program for High School Aged Students.
